Swiss Open and Helvetia Open 2019
12.06.2019 21:15:57 | SDA, Thomas Schneider
For the first time since the very first Swiss Open back in 1984 a Swiss claimed victory. Thomas Junghans went all the way against Dennie Olde Kalter from the Netherlands. At the ladies Deta Hedman proved invincible once again and secured the title for the seventh time - exactly 30 years after her first success. The junior's tournament brought another Swiss winner thanks to Emir Mujanovic who beat England's Maison Wilson.
Sunday's Helvetia Open saw Junghans in the final again but this time he had to let Scotsman Alan Soutar lift the trophy. At the ladies Fallon Sherrock was able to defend her title from last year, while Laura Turner lost also her second final within 24 hours. The same happened to Maison Wilson who lost out to Germany's Lucca Scheuch.
